Neratzia bridge

The bridge of the castle of Neratzia connects Platanos Square with the entrance of the castle. The castle of Neratzia in the city of Kos is estimated to have been built during Knighthood. The bridge connected the inner with the outer precinct of the castle and below it was the moat that connected the sea of the port with the eastern sea side of the castle. This bridge is salvaged to this day on the beautiful avenue of palm trees and connects Platanos Square with the entrance of the castle.
